Clark Ramsey is President of WLEW Sports, holding the title since 2011. Along with his hosting and producing roles, Clark is the Play-by-Play Announcer for both Football and Basketball. A graduate of Michigan State University in Broadcast Management, Clark has been calling games in some facet since 2004. While attending Michigan State University, Clark Ramsey contracted with the Spartan Radio Network for the 2010 football season. Ramsey also contracts with Thumb Tailgater Sports on occasion. In 2014, Clark created the weekly sports talk shows, The Strong Side and The Baseline. From 2007-2011, Clark was the world's most famous mascot, Sparty, for Michigan State.
Dave Hanson joined WLEW Sports in 2012 and continues to provide Football Game Analysis, filling the shoes of former analyst Ron Learman. A student of the game his entire life, Dave breaks down the play for listeners and provides insight on needed adjustments for both teams. A graduate of Ferris State University in Professional Golf Management, Dave has been licensed with the Professional Golf Association since 2012. He currently is the Golf Professional at Ubly Heights Golf & Country Club. Dave is a co-host of the weekly football radio show, The Strong Side.
John Mooney provides insight and clarity to the action on the hardwood as the Basketball WLEW Sports In-Game Analyst. Having been broadcast partners with Clark Ramsey since 2011, John's wit and quick-thinking is recognized across the entire Thumb Region. Extensive research goes into each game thanks in part due to John's ability to track down stats and scores from the area. Mooney was the Varsity Boys Basketball Coach in Harbor Beach from 1986 to 1990. John is also co-host to the weekly basketball radio show, The Baseline. During MHSAA Football Playoffs, John Mooney is a sideline reporter.
Doug Cole is the Director of Sports Information for WLEW Sports. Cole single-handedly oversees all statistics and computation for football broadcasts. Holding the position of Director since 2013, Doug has the ability to compute both the offensive and defensive stats simultaneously as the game is in progress. His efforts allow for instant access to those On-Air with 100% accuracy. Clark Ramsey is forever grateful to have Doug to his left in the booth. Cole is a 2013 graduate of Michigan State University in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Kayla O'Neil is the Director of Media Relations and Social Media for WLEW Sports. She assists in communication, logistic and on-site liaison duties, as well as oversees all Twitter correspondence. Kayla excels in football statistics and has been mastering basketball "intangible" stat-taking since 2013. O'Neil is a graduate of Central Michigan University with a degree in Neuroscience.
Michael Meissner handles the Sideline Correspondent duties for the WLEW Sports football broadcasts. Meissner was a 2-year starter for Harbor Beach High School from 2005-2006 and is widely regarded as the best Center in program history. With his strong football knowledge and abilities in the trenches, Michael is able to report what can't be seen from the broadcast booth. In the absence of Dave Hanson, Michael Meissner also fills the role of In-Game Analysis.
