Patriots Score 30 Straight Points to Secure Homecoming Victory

September 18, 2026 — Week 04 — Sebewaing, Michigan

It may have been Harbor Beach that scored first, but the USA Patriots responded well, scoring on their next four drives to cruise to a 30-6 homecoming victory on Friday, September 18, 2026. The Patriot defense forced three turnovers, turning them into 16 points, including a Drake Hamilton 75-yard interception return for a touchdown.

Harbor Beach received the opening kick and methodically moved down the field in 10 plays and capped off with a three-yard run from freshman Colton Messing. The score gave the Pirates their first lead of the season, 6-0 and just the second offensive touchdown in 2026. USA responded well and in true Patriot fashion with 13 straight runs covering 73 yards in six minutes. Noah Howard who started at fullback ran in the first USA touchdown from one yard out; the two-point conversion made it 8-6 in favor of USA, three seconds into the second quarter.

The Pirates’ second drive of the night saw them move the ball well again, but ended in disaster when Kiptyn Sherman’s pass was intercepted on fourth down by Hamilton, who returned it for USA’s second touchdown. Another successful two-point conversion pushed the lead to 16-6, halfway through the second quarter. Harbor Beach’s next drive ended again with an interception on fourth down, which set up USA’s third score of the night, a Grady Bolzman six-yard touchdown run to push the lead to 24-6 just 41 seconds before the halftime festivities.

The Patriots received the second-half kickoff and put together a 14-play, 64-yard scoring drive that pulled eight and a half minutes off the clock. Hamilton ran in from a yard out for his offensive touchdown in the game. That made for the last score of the night, 30-6 USA.

They were paced by Drake Hamilton’s 115 yards and one rushing touchdown. Hamilton averaged 7.2 yards per carry in the win. Howard added 94 yards on 17 carries for one score, while Bolzman chipped in 46 more yards and another rushing touchdown. Harbor Beach put together 214 total yards: 164 on the ground and 50 through the air. Ty Winkel led the Pirate rushing attack with 66 yards on 15 carries. Messing totaled 64 yards on 13 totes and the lone Pirate score. Sherman completed two passes on five attempts with his three other passes all being intercepted.

After dropping two hard-fought losses by a combined eight points, USA now sits at 2-2 on the season and 1-0 in divisional play. They face off with Reese in the Michigan Sugar Bowl next week. Harbor Beach falls to 0-4 for the first time since 2015. They host Sandusky at home in a non-divisional game.
