Harbor Beach Out-Rebounds, Out-Muscles Cros-Lex

February 13, 2026 — BWAC vs BTC — Harbor Beach, Michigan

It was a battle of the heavyweights and it were the Pirates of Harbor Beach that delivered blow after blow, defeating the Cros-Lex Pioneers, 58-43 on Friday, February 13, 2026 in Harbor Beach. The victory for Harbor Beach makes it nine wins in a row and snapped Cros-Lex’s 12-game winning streak in the process.

Harbor Beach trailed at the end of the first quarter by a single point, 16-15. Cros-Lex hit three-straight three pointers from Cameron Saunders and Corbin Allen to take the lead, 16-11, before Harbor Beach’s Andrew Kabban made two free throws and Matt Geiger a basket as time expired in the first. The second quarter was far more lop-sided, as the Pirates outscored the Pioneers, 16-7, going on an 8-0 run in less than two minutes. Only an Alex Levitt bucket interrupted another Harbor Beach 8-0 run in less than 90 seconds to lead 31-21. Levitt scored the final points of the second quarter with 1:20 left to cut the Pioneers’ halftime deficit to eight points, 31-23.

The third quarter saw the Pirates go on yet another 8-0 run, this time in three minutes to lead, 43-28 halfway through the third. Both teams exchanged blows to round out the third quarter with the Pirates leading by 14 points, 47-33. Harbor Beach held serve in the fourth quarter mostly from the free throw line, making seven of 12 attempts, to go along baskets from Luke Bischer and Matt Geiger.

Harbor Beach’s post-play and rebounding proved to be too much for Cros-Lex, outrebounding the Pioneers, 45-17. Geiger led all scorers with 18 points, while ripping down countless rebounds. Bischer tallied 13, while going 6-8 from the free throw line. Benson Harper added 12 points. Cros-Lex’s leading scorer, Max Noll was held to 12 points, 6.5 below his season average. All other Pioneers were held to single digits with Saunders and Shane Slanec each adding eight points and Levitt with seven.

The Pirates round out the regular season with three games in three days, at Frankenmuth (Monday, February 16), at Capac (Tuesday) and home against Memphis (Wednesday). With the win, Harbor Beach secured the top seed in District 96, hosted by USA in the MHSAA Division 03 Tournament.
