Week 14: Hudson vs Harbor Beach | State Championship
The two top teams in Division 08 meet for the state championship at Ford Field in downtown Detroit: Harbor Beach vs Hudson. Both teams enter the state title game with undefeated records and have blasted through any opponent this season.
Week 13: Bark River-Harris vs Harbor Beach | State Semi-Final
The Harbor Beach Pirates face off with the defending Division 08 state champions, the Beal City Aggies in the Regional Championship. Both teams enter with undefeated records and expectations that the winner will find themselves eventually in Ford Field.

The Harbor Beach Pirates face off with the defending Division 08 state champions, the Beal City Aggies in the Regional Championship. Both teams enter with undefeated records and expectations that the winner will find themselves eventually in Ford Field.
Week 11: USA at Harbor Beach | District Championship
The USA Patriots look to even the score with Harbor Beach as they face off with the Harbor Beach Pirates for the second time, but this time for the Division 08 District Championship.
Week 10: Reese at Harbor Beach
The Harbor Beach Pirates enter the postseason with a perfect 9-0 record and face off with a pesky Reese Rocket team. Reese is one of just two teams to score more than one touchdown on the Pirates during the regular season.
Week 09: Harbor Beach at Millington
The reigning and 2024 Division 07 state champions host the Harbor Beach Pirates in a highly-anticipated matchup in the final week of the regular season. Millington and Harbor Beach have faced off 16 times in history, but none since 1978.
Week 08: Lakers at Harbor Beach
Two classic rivals clash in a cross-divisional matchup in the penultimate week of the regular season. The Pirates have taken 9 straight over the green and white, including the last two years, 18-6 and 38-6. This will be the 35th meeting in history for the two schools.
Week 07: USA at Ubly
The USA Patriots and Ubly Bearcats have faced off 23 times in 21 years with the Bearcats dominating the series 17-6 since 2004. Last year, the Patriots lost to Ubly 46-14.
Week 06: Sandusky at Lakers
The Wolves and Lakers meet on the gridiron in Week 06 of the regular season. For just the second year, Lakers and Sandusky are divisional foes (since the old Thumb-B Conference from the 1980’s). Sandusky has not defeated Lakers since 2006 with the green and white winning 8 of the last 10 matchups.
Week 05: Cass City at Sandusky
The Red Hawks and Wolves have faced off 50 times since 1950 and face off in a divisional game at the halfway point in the regular season. Sandusky has not defeated Cass City since the 2015 playoffs, with the Red Hawks taking the previous six games.
Week 04: Brown City at Deckerville
Brown City travels to the “Foxborough of the Thumb” to take on the Deckerville Eagles in a Big Thumb-Blue showdown. The Eagles are the reigning 8-player state champions, while Brown City is looking to hand Deckerville their first loss in over a year.
Week 03: Lakers at Cass City
Lakers and Cass City are set to meet for the 71st time since 1960 and to kick off divisional play in the Big Thumb Conference. The two rivals have split their last 10 meetings, with Cass City taking the previous two games, including last year, 28-8.
Week 02: Whiteford vs Harbor Beach
Two Division 08 blue chip programs go head-to-head in non-divisional play on a neutral field in Davison, Michigan. Whiteford is the 2022 state champion, losing to Ubly in 2023 in the state title game. Harbor Beach is looking to make it back to the state championship for the first time since 2012, the year of their only title in school history.
Week 01: Cass City at Harbor Beach
Both the Harbor Beach Pirates and Cass City Red Hawks are coming off 2024 playoff runs and looking to start their 2025 campaign on the right foot. After two tight games in previous seasons, the Red Hawks and Pirates will duke it out to open our 2025 football coverage.
MHSAA Tournament - Regional Championship: Flint New Standard vs Harbor Beach
Harbor Beach looks to claim its first regional championship in school history but will have to defeat a talented Flint New Standard (Flint Elite) squad to do so. Coverage begins at 6:10pm from Millington, MI with tip-off at 7:00pm.
MHSAA Tournament - Regional Semi-Final: Brown City vs Harbor Beach
Harbor Beach reaches the regional rounds of the MHSAA Tournament for the first time since 2013 and will have to defeat the Brown City Green Devils for the third time this season.
MHSAA Tournament - Lakers vs Harbor Beach
Lakers and Harbor Beach meet for the second time this season with the district championship on the line. Lakers enters as the #3 seed, already knocking off #2 Bad Axe, while Harbor Beach defeated Cass City on Wednesday. Friday’s winner moves onto Region 24 in Millington next week.

The #5 USA Patriots enters the postseason riding a big road win over the Bad Axe Hatchets, while the #4 Cass City Red Hawks start the MHSAA Tournament without a win in the last 17 days.
USA at Lakers
It’s a classic “West” rivalry between two longtime foes as the middle of the Big Thumb White gets sorted out. USA enters the game amidst a five-game losing streak, while Lakers has lost two in a row.
Millington at Harbor Beach
The battle for the top spot in the Big Thumb Conference gets decided on a Monday night. Millington and Harbor Beach have a 32 combined victories and just two losses. The Cardinals enter the game on an eight-game win streak, while the Pirates are currently riding a 10-game win stretch.
