Clark Ramsey

Director, HOST & Play-by-Play ANNOUNCER

Clark Ramsey is President of WLEW Sports, holding the title since 2011. Along with his hosting and producing roles, Clark is the Play-by-Play Announcer for both Football and Basketball. A graduate of Michigan State University in Broadcast Management, Clark has been calling games in some facet since 2004. While attending Michigan State University, Clark Ramsey contracted with the Spartan Radio Network for the 2010 football season. In 2014, Clark created the weekly sports talk shows, The Strong Side and The Baseline. From 2007-2011, Clark was the world's most famous mascot, Sparty, for Michigan State. Before the 2020 MLB season, Clark was selected as the backup Public Address Announcer for the Detroit Tigers. Starting in 2023, Clark’s voice can be heard before every Detroit Red Wings game at Little Caesars Arena, providing voiceover work for the most-storied NHL franchise.

Clark is also the Director of Marketing & Communications for Scheurer Health and Executive Director for Clark Ramsey Productions. In his spare time, he is the Executive Director and host of the Harbor Beach Gameshow Series and is involved in numerous community events.

 

 

Dave Hanson

Football In-GAME ANALYSIS

Dave Hanson joined WLEW Sports in 2012 and continues to provide Football Game Analysis, filling the shoes of former analyst Ron Learman. A student of the game his entire life, Dave breaks down the play for listeners and provides insight on needed adjustments for both teams and game trends. A graduate of Ferris State University in Professional Golf Management, Dave has been licensed with the Professional Golf Association since 2012.

When not calling football games, Dave is a financial advisor with Ameriprise Financial Services out of Deckerville, Michigan. He is a co-host of the weekly football radio show, The Strong Side.


Steve Bohn

Basketball In-GAME ANALYSIS

Steve Bohn began broadcasting for the 2021 basketball season after a highly successful coaching career (and still needs a professional headshot…). As Associate Head Coach for the USA Patriots, Steve Bohn along with Head Coach Mark Gainforth is credited with 12 league titles, 13 district titles, 3 regional titles and 1 state final appearance over a 22-year span at Unionville-Sebewaing Area High School.

Steve is also a multiple-time state championship coach in high school softball, leading the USA Patriots for five years, winning 193 games and losing just 20 games. From 2012 to 2016, Bohn led USA to back-to-back state championship titles and two additional state final appearances. Recently, he has assisted the current softball coaching staff to secure the school’s sixth and seventh state titles. Beginning in 2022, Steve joined the Saginaw Valley State University’s softball coaching staff as an assistant coach.

During the day, Steve works for Everbest Organics in Munger, Michigan.

 

 

Doug Cole

DIRECTOR OF SPORTS INFORMATION

Doug Cole single-handedly oversees all statistics and computation for football broadcasts. Holding the position of Director since 2013, Doug has the ability to compute both the offensive and defensive stats simultaneously as the game is in progress. His efforts allow for instant access to those on-air with 100% accuracy. Cole is a 2013 graduate of Michigan State University in Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

During the week, Doug is an audit accountant for Cole, Newton & Durand, PC in Livonia, Michigan.


Dan Behnke

DIRECTOR OF VISUAL DATA // SPOTTER

Dan Behnke is responsible for in-game spotting for Clark, game trends, officials liaison and logistics. Dan has been part of the team in an official capacity since the 2018 season. On top of his spelled-out duties, Dan maintains the quality of the booth environment, even washing windows if necessary. He is an essential piece to the broadcast team and handles all on-field logistics for the broadcast, including referee relations, signage and field microphones.

Dan was an all-conference athlete in both football and basketball back in his playing days, allowing for him to see into the trenches with precision.

 

 

Ed Klump

FOOTBALL SIDELINE REPORTER

Ed Klump braves the elements to report game trends and the inside track of what is happening from the field level. Equipped with a quick wit and extensive knowledge of football, he is the perfect supplement to the on-air tandem of Clark Ramsey and Dave Hanson. In his own playing days, Ed was an all-state, first-team offensive player, playing for the 1991 Harbor Beach Pirates who made it to the Silverdome for the Class C state championship. At running back, Ed scored a touchdown in every single game that he played in and averaged over 100 yards per game.

In his “day job,” Ed is the President of Resource Search Inc., specializing in financial and operations recruiting. He is also the 2003 North American Asparagus Eating Champion.


Rochelle Ramsey

Director of Game Data Analytics

Rochelle Ramsey conducts and manages all integrations regarding game statistics and trends. As a professionally-trained accountant, she can troubleshoot all spreadsheets in real-time. She is responsible for first, third and fourth down conversions, as well as the game log and time of possession.

Rochelle is the office manager for Thompson Chevrolet, the official Chevy Dealer of the WLEW Sports Network.
